This message appears for Mac users when there is a problem with XII – either you attempted to launch before X11 opened, X11 is not installed, or the wrong version of XII is installed for the operating system on your computer.
First, verify that you have XII in your dock.
If YES, confirm that you are running XII with OS 10.3 or higher. If you are not running the current version of XII, click here for download instructions.
If NO, search for XII in Utilities. You can also use a “Spotlight” search to find it. If you cannot find it on your system, click here for download instructions.
Once you have verified that you are running the current version of XII, logout of Northstar™, quit XII and quit your browser (either Safari, Internet Explorer, Opera or Firefox).
Open a new browser window and login to Northstar™ again.
Accept the Sun Certificate and make sure XII is open.
NOTE: Do not close the xterm box that will open.
Begin using Northstar™.
